They are still there on my list as devices and are supposedly seen by the Dell 3542 but I am unable to connect to them once again timing out with "can not connect". I then left the router on and disconnected the internet and rest the the Roku's and was unable to mirror to them until I reset them, Once I disconnected the mirroring I was again unable to connect to them even with the router not connected to the internet. I then turned off my router and my Roku's and as I rebooted the router I reconnected the Roku's before the router connected to the internet, but had already assigned LAN IPs to the connected devices, I was able to successfully add the Roku's and Mirror to them for a brief time, but once I allowed the router to access the internet I was once again unable to mirror to the Roku's.

#OKA MIRROR FOR ROKU NOT WORKING DRIVERS#
This is something that I never had any issue with prior to the last Roku update and I have done everything possible to make sure the problem was not on the laptop end by checking all the Intel drivers (both graphic and chip) and the network drivers were fully up to date and verified the driver version numbers to be sure the drivers were compatible with miracast.Īfter doing all that and still not being able to connect to any of them, I totally reinstalled the operating system on the dell and started from scratch updating every facet of the Windows 8.1 operating system as well as all the latest drivers from the manufacturer, and found when I tried to re-add the Roku devices they would randomly not be found or if they were it would ask me to "press the button on the device" or "follow the on screen instructions on the device" which as we all know there are none "so that was a little frustrating". I can still see them as devices on my list but the connection times out and says "unable to connect". I have been using a Dell 3542 Inspiron with Windows 8.1for the past several months on (2) Roku 3's and (1) Roku 3500X stick depending which Roku I wanted to mirror to at the time.Īs of the last Roku update I have been unable to mirror to any of the Roku's with my Dell 3542, but can still mirror from my Samsung 5. I posted this over on the Roku forums a few minutes ago, figured I would post it here too in hopes of sharing information.
